Enjoying a worldwide fame ever since he starred as Emmett Cullen in “Twilight”, Kellan Lutz frankly admits that he is surprised upon learning he is idolized by older female fans. “It has been strange, not because of the attention, which is of course flattering, but because of the age ranges,” he told In Touch Weekly while attending the Social Life magazine party held on July 4 at the Social Life Estate in Watermill, N.Y.

“It’s from young teenagers all the way to their 40-year-old mothers! Those Twilight moms have made me blush more than once with the fan mail and the packages that they send,” he revealed further. Despite his new found fame, the hunk claimed he and his “Twilight” co-stars, including Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, are trying to stay humble. “Everyone is still very modest and low-key,” he insisted.

Kellan Lutz can next be seen reprising his role as Emmett Cullen in the highly anticipated “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon,” which is slated for November 20 U.S. release.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon and A Nightmare On Elm Street star Kellan Lutz recently did an interview with Life Magazine for their July 4th issue. Thanks to OK Magazine, we now have a snippet of that interview.

Candid, honest, and assertive as always Lutz discusses the set of New Moon and his future without holding back.

What is your typical day like on the set of New Moon, the sequel to Twilight?

New Moon was a very relaxed film to work on and it all starts with how easy going director Chris Wietz is. That vibe rolls down to the crew and actors. It makes it so easy when we’ve all worked together before. Everything was so well organized, making it easy for the actors to do our job. We had more time to just laugh and make jokes and hang out; it’s important to have a cast that gels the way we do and you’ll see that more in the second film.

The entire cast of Twilight and New Moon has gone from Hollywood new faces to overnight international sensations – has that been a bonding experience for all of you?

It’s amazing what Twilight has done for the cast! It has opened up so many doors for us all. It is such a blessing to be a part of the phenomenon that is Twilight. It’s a dream come true! We are all very close and stay close on set as well as off. We play board games, go out to dinner and just hang out. It’s amazing to be able to work with such a talented group of actors.

Where do you see yourself in five or ten years?

I’d like to continue acting for as long as possible. I truly love it and I am lucky that not only is it my career but it’s something I really enjoy doing so it doesn’t feel like work. Hopefully in ten years, I’ll have an amazing family with a beautiful wife and little Kellan’s running around to play football with.

Earlier this month, we told you about the Twilight Fans Cruise that is setting sail next year in Alaska. Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz were previously signed on to go on the cruise, but as a result of an apparent work commitment, Kellan Lutz is now unable to attend. The good news? Another New Moon cast member has replaced him. Read Twilight Fans Cruise’s statement below for more:

We were just notified that due to a film commitment Kellan Lutz will not be able to sail on our Alaska Twilight Cruise in 2010. We will try to have him on our 2011 cruise. We have replaced Kellan with Alex Meraz who plays Paul in “New Moon”. Even though the actors have signed contracts to go on the cruise… they have the right to cancel due to a work commitment. We are currently working on signing two other actors so that we will have 4 on the cruise. Thank you for your understanding and we are looking forward to a truly wondrous time in Alaska next summer.

For more information about the cruise, click here.

This is really unfortunate news, but it’s nice to hear not only that Alex has replaced Kellan, but that they are looking into getting two addition actors on the cruise. Hopefully this won’t upset too many Twilighters!

With Ashley Greene (aka Alice Cullen) recently letting slip that more time and money is being spent on the costumes to The Twilight Saga: New Moon, excitement as to what these will be is reaching fever pitch. The teaser trailer for the hugely anticipated sequel to last winter’s blockbuster, Twilight gave us a iddy biddy look at these new styles and one we’re already loving is that of hunky man mountain, Emmett Cullen (Kellan Lutz) at Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) birthday party. So much so that we’re naming it this week’s fashion fix.

Emmett scrubs up well for the formal occasion, ditching the controversial sporty style that became his signature look in Twilight. This smart and sophisticated ensemble comes in muted tones of black and grey, continuing the Cullen’s Twilight colour palette established by the movie’s costume designer Wendy Chuck (“My original idea was to keep their palate light,” she says. “I was working with the idea of pale and cold, a sort of frozen world of blues, greys, whites, silver with a hint of violet but we found that darker colours enhanced their vampire makeup.”) and is essentially a shirt worn with a waistcoat, trousers, boots and the ever-present Cullen crest wrist cuff. And we’ve found some spot-on lookalikes from top high street chains such as Burtons that are just the thing for some Cullen cool.

The roll sleeve shirt has twin chest pockets, is machine washable and at just £12, reduced from £22 is a great place to start piecing together your New Moon outfit. Pair it with the tailored fit charcoal grey five-button waistcoat that is available across a generous range of sizes and the smart straight-leg mid-blue jeans and you’re almost there. Apply the finishing touch with black ankle boots by Rockwood and the Cullen crest jewellery and voila! Instant Emmett Cullen cool. Now you’re ready to hunt some bears or whatever Emmett-inspired behaviour takes your fancy.
