Although the LA press day for New Moon was focused 99.9% of the time on all things Twilight, A Nightmare on Elm Street came up during the press conference Lutz was a part of. When asked about the dream sequences and what audiences can expect from the 2010 film, Lutz joked that his character actually becomes the steel-gloved killer.

“It’s great. I kill Jackie Earle Haley and take away his glove and sweater — the sweater itches,” said Lutz, laughing. “No. You know what? It’s such a blessing to be a part of something that for me, I grew up with. And a lot of things scared me growing up – mainly my brothers picking on me. But as far as Jason or Chucky, I had a Chucky doll, like those things didn’t scare me. But Freddy Krueger, there’s something… It’s this psychological thriller that can take you in your dreams, you know? It’s something that you can’t physically take care of on your own. You know, working with Platinum Dunes guys, I mean, Brad Fuller, and Andrew [Form], they’re great. And to work with Sam [Bayer], the director. And then the great cast: Thomas Dekker was always pumped on Red Bull every day, [Rooney] Mara’s great, Kate Cassidy has been a great friend of mine forever. And meeting Michael Bay was so cool.”

Right before The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Kellan Lutz began filming for 2008’s Twilight, he filmed an HBO series entitled Generation Kill. That series has been nominated for an Emmy in the category of “Miniseries” alongside Little Dorrit.

The series starred “True Blood” star Alexander Skarsgard, James Ransome, Lee Tergesen, Jon Huertas, Stark Sands, Billy Lush, Jonah Lotan, Wilson Bethel, Pawel Szajda, Marc Menchaca, Rey Valentin, Lutz, and many others, and had a total of seven episodes (Lutz appeared in all seven).

Generation Kill has been said to be “both ambitious and rife with a casualness of daily war routines that lulls the viewer into the story line. It tells a big story through myriad small characters (defined well enough to be enriching, not just paper cutouts).”

Generation Kill was also nominated for “Outstanding Art Direction for a Miniseries or a Movie,” “Outstanding Casting For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special,” “Outstanding Cinematography For A Miniseries Or Movie,” “Outstanding Directing For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Dramatic Special,” “Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Miniseries Or A Movie,” “Outstanding Sound Editing For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special,” “Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Miniseries Or A Movie,” “Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special,” and “Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special.”

Family Productions via Just Jared Jr. releases a sneak peek of Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene’s upcoming movie “Warrior (2009)”. In the footage, the “Twilight” co-stars, who don high school uniforms, are seen sharing a passionate kiss in what seems to be a library.

“Warrior (2009)” is an action film which comes from director Michael F. Sears. It is produced by Ed Richardson in association with Mark Burnett Productions. The screenplay, in the meantime, is written by Martin Dugard.

On the movie, Lutz stars as Conor Sullivan, a lacrosse player who loses his father and “drives his mother up the wall”. Being sent to a lacrosse camp, Conor falls in love with the coach’s daughter Greene’s Brooklyn. In addition to the twosome, Gabrielle Anwar, Cary Elwes, Aaron Hill, Adam Beach, William Mapother, and Chris Potter are set to star on the film, which will be opened in U.S. theaters later this year.
